Long before there was a candy company, there were simply the PritcHardy's—a playful combination of our names that somehow stuck. When it came time to name our business, there wasn't much debate.
It already had a name.
For years, candy making was simply part of our everyday life. Jason was constantly experimenting in the kitchen—adjusting temperatures, testing flavors, refining textures, and chasing the perfect caramel or toffee. Friends and family became our willing guinea pigs, sampling countless batches along the way.
He likes to joke that "candy built this body." Judging by the candy drawer, the cookie cabinet, and the emergency chocolate stash, we're inclined to believe him. He insists it's all research & development. We're not here to argue.
The recipes kept getting better, and so did the feedback. What started with family taste testers turned into friends making requests, coworkers placing unofficial orders, and people asking when the next batch would be ready.
At some point, we stopped hearing compliments... and started hearing encouragement.
Eventually, we stopped asking ourselves, "What if?" and decided to take the leap.
Today, we're simply doing what we've always loved—making candy, sharing it with others, and having a little fun along the way. And if Jason thinks a recipe can be just a little better, he'll keep tinkering until it is.
